Jr. DevOps Engineer to manage the hardware/software life cycle, SD-WAN Infrastructure, network migrations, and network builds – 18117
 
Location: Toronto (REMOTE for now – hybrid 1-2 days per week to closest location in 2023)
Duration: 1 year (possibility of extension)

 
Must have skills:    
  • 1-3 years experience as a DevOps/Network engineer in technical and functional areas such as Assurance, Fulfillment, Delivery, Provisioning, Sustainment and Supply Operation
  • 1-3 years advanced knowledge in troubleshooting L2 and L3 routing/ switching issues
  • 1-3 years working knowledge of networking protocols, Linux (Red Hat Enterprise/CentOS), operational support systems/tools, scripts, OpenStack & VMware in DevOps capacity
  • Practical experience on IP/MPLS L3VPN, Routing, OSPF, BGP, IPv4, IPv4Multicast and IPv6 protocols
  • Knowledge of SDN technologies (Openflow, Open vSwitch, NETCONF, XMPP) and SDN Controllers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical diploma in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline and Comprehensive knowledge of Rest API, XML, JSON, Perl, Java or Python, Shell or TCL script
Nice to have skills:
  • Knowledge of data center automation, Cloud technologies, Virtual Network Functions (VNF) management, Public Cloud Technologies such as AWS, GCP and Azure
  • Knowledge in SDN solutions, Cloud orchestration/Virtualization/Hypervisor platforms Openstack/ VMware, F5 load balancer, Palo Alto firewall
  • Experience with bare metal switches/ servers, hardware/software maintenance & external storage system as well as OEM
