Jr. Settlements Officer to support Physical Metals Operation Team of large banking client - 56410
Location: Downtown Toronto (3 days in office, 2 days remote - Training may be all in office)
Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension or FT)
Job Description:
The bank maintains inventories of precious and base metals throughout the world.
Physical metals operation team is providing the support to our traders globally for both base metals and precious metals business
As a member of physical metals operation team base in our Toronto office, working closely with Global trading and sales desks, mainly providing the support being a key point of contact between custodians and clients, helping to ensure smooth settlement of metals.
Role Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Monthly invoice and dispatch to client within the required timeline
• Ensure the records are maintained in a proper manner
• Responsible for daily metals settlement and customers’ metal transfer request are processed
• Ensure the financial system and inventory system are updated properly for the trades and transfer requests and related supporting docs are retained for future reference
• Ensure all shipping documentation and invoices generate are in order as required.
• Interaction with partners across the businesses, including Middle office, Front office, Technology.
Must Have Skills:
2-3 years of experience in a data entry/customer service role
Banking/Financial Industry experience
Knowledge of standard desktop applications (Excel)
