Our valued financial client is seeking a Junior Deskside Support Technician to support a major Windows 10 hardware evergreening for a major financial client!

Initial 1-year contract in Ottawa, ON (Fully on-site, with a possibility of an additional 2 year extension).

As the successful candidate, you will assist in the replacement of ~350 Windows 10 PCs with new modern hardware, and provide ongoing technical and hardware support for staff returning to the office from an 100% remote environment. 

Responsibilities:
  • Install, move, set up and provide ongoing support to all clients for desktop and laptop computers
  • Install and configure software
  • Provide technical problem-solving guidance and advice to users in person and remotely by phone
  • Provide input into the creation and ongoing maintenance of a knowledge base on technical issues
  • Provide input into the ongoing amendment of supporting standards, guidelines, and documentation
  • Provide support as needed in the Asset Management process
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to users within service levels
  • Support project initiatives related to the client's desktop environment
Must-Have Skills:
  • 1 year or more of recent work experience in an information technology service desk as a deskside technician or comparable educational experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience with SCCM, Intune, and/or Active Directory
  • Demonstrated recent experience with a desktop hardware evergreen in a similar capacity
