Our client is looking for a Junior Help Desk Specialists to provide on-site support for applications, desktop organization, and IT hardware.

Opportunity will start Full time and will move into a part time and/or on-call support.
Weekly hybrid model in Edmonton required

Must have:
  • Desktop, network and server / cloud setup and administration experience
  • Troubleshoot common desktop and cloud applications (office 365, google suite of products).
  • Ability to translate technical terms to nontechnical terms
  • Capability to present on application usage
  • Work on-site Edmonton on a part time basis
  • Soft Skills: Hard working, strong communication, comfortable giving suggestions, flexible. 
Nice to have:
  • Axiscare application knowledge
 
Tasks include:
  • Create and teach client about common IT procedures, scanning documents, email usage, accessing network attached and cloud storage.
  • Make recommendations on applications to support the business
  • Setup active directory and create simple IAM procedures
  • Make recommendations on hardware such as desktops, cellphones, and laptops.
  • Setup and manage corporate cellphone, google, office 365 and other accounts.
  • Desktop OS configuration including policies and upgrading.
  • Setup remote assistance.
  • Create policy for and perform data backup and disaster recovery planning.
  • Setup and administer small office network.
  • Create an easy-to-use organization system for client
  • Move paper documents to the cloud
  • Organize HR papers and documents
  • Work directly with end-users to receive devices and determine what level of support is required for hardware and software
