Junior/Intermediate Project Manager
The Junior/Intermediate Project Manager manages the entire lifecycle of a small project or phases of a larger project which include developing a project plan, coordinating the activities of a project team, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience within Project Management
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline. Discipline such as Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or other applications of study.
  • Experience working in a technical environment is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel and use of on-line resources.
  • Experience in project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, JIRA & Confluence) 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certified or other equivalent project management certificates
  • Some experience working in an academic environment would be an asset.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepares project plans. Monitor’s scope, schedule, budget and other key aspects to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Completes project status reports on a biweekly basis.
  • Works with project stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
  • Manages expectations and fosters excellent communication in a collaborative environment.
  • Works with the project and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
  • Establishes a sustainable mechanism for the collection of any requirements and data; engages with departments to ensure that outcomes will meet their needs.
  • Writes formal reports, including status reports and formal documentation.
  • Manages expectations and foster excellent communication in a collaborative environment.
  • Works with stakeholders to enable buy-ins for the project outcomes as required.
