Junior Marketing Analyst to support the planning, development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for a Major Banking Client - 58892-1
Duration: 12 Months (Possible for extension or conversion to FTE, based on performance and ongoing business priority)
Work location: DT Toronto (Hybrid model in office on Thursday - subject to change)
Work Schedule (hours per week, start time): 9-5 with some flexibility around core business hours.
Potential for OT? Yes, including some weekends and evenings (ad-hoc)
GROUP INFORMATION: Focused on credit card portfolio, a lot of advertising and development of social media marketing.
Daily Job Duties/Activities:
You will work closely with the Director of Marketing Communications and business partners in the development and delivery of direct and mass marketing activities aimed at building awareness and driving new client acquisition to Simplii Financial™. As the Manager of Marketing Communications, you will be responsible for the management of assigned budgets - ensuring timely and effective optimization of spend against priority initiatives. You can simultaneously manage multiple projects and maintain balance between the tactical focus on implementation and the strategic focus for new marketing opportunities.
How You’ll Succeed
  • Brand Marketing Expertise – As a member within the Marketing Communications team you will support the planning, development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns supporting the Simplii Financial brand, key strategic pillars, and Simplii’s digital innovations.
  • Creative Development and Measurement - You will contribute to the planning and lead the implementation, including the creative development, of marketing communications initiatives and projects for assigned businesses/segments. You will also collaborate with your team, business partners and channel partners to build successful marketing campaigns to generate desired business results and impact. You will also be responsible for tracking results and conducting post-campaign learnings with key partners (agencies, business and channel partners) as well as managing overall budgets coupled with timely project management.
  • Project Management – Plan and implement all marketing communication initiatives for the individual business units across Simplii, you will support the marketing communications needs and will act as a key point of contact for the assigned initiatives. You will manage the creative process in a large, multi-level matrix organization with several layers for approvals.
  • Communication and Relationship Management - You will build and develop relationships with key business contacts, channel partners and agencies to become true partner to the business. You will have a solid background in marketing communications roles on either the client or agency side and will have hands on experience in the development and delivery of fully integrated campaigns (digital, social, direct, mass disciplines). This proven background in marketing will be combined with a good understanding of the financial services industry.
Must Haves:
  • 3+ Years' experience in an agency or a client role
  • Experience in managing creative and marketing communications processes for all mediums, including direct and interactive.
  • Power point & basic excel experience
