S.i. Systems enterprise public sector client needs to keep up to date on current research in order to implement evidence-based policy and program decisions.
They are seeking a Masters-educated Researcher Admin to review current research grants around OH&S policy and translate into plain language for business stakeholders.
 
JOB DUTIES:
  • Administering the research grants program and researching intelligence functions
  • Provide expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders to identify research priorities, research questions and design projects to address organizational needs
  • Conduct environmental scans and literature scans and interpret data, develop and evaluate options and implications
  • Use technology and analytical tools to develop, collect and track metrics and impact measurements and analyze data to assess ongoing impact of the research grants program and other portfolio initiatives
  • Write research briefs, summaries and other documents in plain language
  • Engage with researchers and stakeholders on funded research to develop knowledge translation plans for the company
MUST HAVE:
  • Master’s Degree in health, occupational hygiene, public policy, library science, epidemiology, or business administration.
  • 5+ years' experience in research analysis and interpretation
  • 3-5 years of experience of knowledge translation experience. This is the experience with knowledge translation of scientific and business information to non-scientific audiences
  • Combination of education and experience will be considered. If the candidate doesn't have masters degree, must have at least 7-8 years' experience 
  • Proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office software suite (Word and Excel)
  • Good writing and facilitation skills
