Responsibilities
The Process Engineering team uses data, voice of client and analytics to identify and implement process improvements that increase profitability and enhance the client and employee experience with CIBC.
We work on a wide variety of strategic and tactical projects. We reengineer client "moment of truth" processes to increase quality and value, as defined by our clients. Our team is the Centre of Excellence for Lean / Six Sigma methodology at the bank, and we train new employees and business partners so they can earn their Yellow, Green or Black Belt certifications.
Examples of typical projects we work on are:
Design and build a tool that connects front line banking centres and back office operations.
Implement and support the launch of third party technologies that eliminate the use of paper in banking centres.
research to find and implement process improvements maximize client experience in the sales or service process.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Process Engineering, you will head assigned projects and ensure that new and changed processes/systems are effective, are installed in a way that accommodates the client, and are easy to learn and use. You will provide technical process engineering leadership, project leadership and mentoring. You will train process engineers and associates in process engineering philosophy and methodologies and you will work with business unit leaders to develop and implement process engineering projects.
How You’ll Succeed
Problem solving - Use critical thinking and the Lean Six Sigma methodology to find innovative approaches to solve problems involving a combination of people, process and technology.
Leadership - Identify and remove barriers that slow or prevent process and productivity improvement and administrative efficiency that leads to cost reduction and competitive advantage. Guide and support your team in problem solving efforts on key projects to improve client satisfaction, reduce cycle time and lower costs.
Deliver results - process engineering efforts across the bank to meet annual productivity targets while fostering a process engineering culture change. Act as a strategic resource by identifying, planning and implementing process engineering and other improvement strategies and projects with senior leadership. and track projects to completion. Provide management with project status updates, feedback and reporting on key, process-focused .
MUST HAVES:
Provide project leadership and guidance to Process Engineering project teams for work packages as part of the Client Complaints program
Use critical thinking and LSS methodology to find innovative approaches to solve problems
