Our telecommunications client is looking for an Intermediate Fleet Manager to provide operational support on their fleet asset management - 18267

Initially a 12 months contract with strong possibility of extensions. FULLY REMOTE across Canada.

Must-Have:
  • 3+ years experience with Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) and operational support
  • Experience in automotive / fleet industry or a mechanical background; in order to be able to handle vendor partner escalations relating to vehicle repairs  
  • A bachelor's degree
  • Strong communication skills; in order to communicate with vendor partners
  • Strong financial acumen: cost/benefit analysis, forecasting, napkin math are all key skillsets required in making the right financial decisions around vehicle repairs and cost saving opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • This team is growing in scope with several large strategic projects underway. This role will provide support to our team of Fleet Managers. You will have the opportunity to be actively involved in fleet transformation and will be called upon to propose improvement and optimization. You will also be responsible for resolving fleet-related issues encountered by partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the life cycle and associated costs of corporate vehicles including procurement, upfitting, maintenance/repairs, etc.
  • Support in the optimization and manage execution of a vehicle replacement program
  • Develop strategies to reduce vehicle downtime/costs and work with operations teams to ensure successful deployment of developed strategies
  • Liaise with internal user groups to develop vehicle and equipment specifications to meet their needs
  • Source, manage, and negotiate with third party service providers
  • Support National Safety Code (NSC) compliance through reporting, driving corrective actions, ELD management, driver management, and developing requirements for future iterations of NSC transformation
  • Act as key liaison with our vendors, ensuring the needs of our fleet are being properly addressed
