Our client is looking for a Senior Bid/Proposal Writer to prepare documentation for estimates, proposals, and Statements of Work (SOWs) for client-facing teams.

Please note our client is looking to hire 2 candidates; 1 Junior or Intermediate and 1 Senior. 

Work location is remote or hybrid: optional offices are available in Calgary or Winnipeg, working MST hours in either AB, Sask or Manitoba


Must Haves:
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Bid/Proposal Writer creating Statements of Work 
    • Superior coordination skill and business writing expertise
    • Proficient in client communication and relationship building
    • Attention to detail with well-established documentation practices
  • Previous database management experience with Planview or another PPM tool 
  • Completed two-year college program or equivalent education and experience.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working in the financial services sector in a technology capacity
Responsibilities:
  • The Bid/ Proposal Analyst will collaborate with internal  departments, clients, and third-party vendors to create High-Level Estimates (HLE), RFI/RFP responses, Business Cases and Statements of Work (SOW) in response to client requests.
  • The Bid/ Proposal Analyst is responsible to ensure proposal documents are prepared accurately, according to defined processes and KPIs.  
  • Update and maintain portfolio and resource management systems, repository of templates, documentation and reports while suggesting recommendations to improve efficiency and auditing results to support compliance to departmental best practices and processes.
  • Leading in the development of a process/methodology that will support the completion of SOWs, HLEs, RFI/RFP responses and internal Business Cases
  • Working with internal subject matter expert groups, leading all aspects of developing and pricing possible technical solutions to external clients on behalf of the team 
  • Liaise with clients and potential clients to gather further requirements to ensure a competitive and deliverable solution is priced.
  • Gather and present all “hard” costs associated with HLEs and SOWs in formats as required 
  • Support all functions within the Bid/ Proposal area
  • Maintain templates and processes according to the knowledge management process
  • Collaborate with team members to complete work tasks, actively seeking ways to apply technology or automate business processes, other duties to ensure operational stability
  • Support the audit of current processes and databases to facilitate continuous improvement by identifying areas of waste, addressing redundancies, and recommending solutions to promote efficiencies
  • Support and maintain resource and portfolio management systems, as well as protocols and processes to manage data accuracy and integrity
  • Create high-level reports and dashboards to report on portfolio health
  • Participate in departmental initiatives
