Senior Bilingual Communications Consultant (10+ years) to support the development of communication deliverables to build awareness and engagement around specific NZAB events and intiatives

Our Public Sector Client requires an Senior Bilingual (French and English) Communications Consultant (10+ years) to support the development of communication deliverables to build awareness and engagement around specific NZAB events and initiatives.

The objective is to reach and communicate with target audiences about the work of the Net-Zero Advisory Board (NZAB) for engagement around net-zero targets, pathways, events, and related issues

Responsibilities to include:

• Support the on-going development of a communications strategy that outlines objectives, target audiences, tools, and timelines for each year.
• Create and/or review content for communications and outreach for various target audiences, including draft and final reports for engagement
• Supporting the use of social media channels and traditional channels, including proactive (e.g., fostering relationships with media outlets) and reactive approaches (e.g., media / interview requests);
• Develop and implement a communications and outreach plan to promote the NZAB’s activities, brand and advice
• Ensure regional and linguistic considerations used to inform communications content (content to be bilingual in French and English)
• Identify communications impediments and barriers and providing solutions to overcome them
• Build awareness and engagement around specific events
• Support the development of an engagement plan to obtain advice, thoughts and feedback from various target audiences (including experts, public, interested people, informed people)

Must Haves:

• Bilingual in French and English
• 10+ years experience within a Communications Role
• A University Degree and/or College Diploma specializing in Communications/Writting/English
• Experience on five communication/outreach projects focused on Climate Change 

Nice to Haves:

• A relevant Certification (to communications)
