Our valued public sector client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst support the pre-production of an ERP system project rollout.

Background:

This department has a requirement for the implementation of a PCSP’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that would reduce the business risks associated with manually managing, storing, and tracking various information/data from various PCSP systems/tools in shared drives, especially in the financial field which represents our center of interest for the implementation of the PCSP ERP system project.

Responsibilities:

Working with various internal and external stakeholders, the business analyst will be required to conduct the following tasks and deliverables for the pre-production and production phases of the PCSP’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system project rollout.

This resource will also work with the Project team to plan and facilitate reports requirements gathering and reports design review workshops with various stakeholders.

The BA will be required to conduct the following tasks and deliverables:


  • Identify, articulate and plan business analysis activities and deliverables, guiding the project team and stakeholders to complete requirements gathering and analysis activities;
  • Identify gaps, constraints and/or assumptions in business, functional and/or data requirements and work with project team and stakeholders to address;
  • Model data-flows, workflows and processes using standard modeling techniques;
  • Plan and facilitate visioning exercises, requirements gathering workshops and reviews;
  • Evaluate and analyze information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding. Identify potential sources of data and develop data models to support general analysis and design;
  • Prepare business requirements documentation while using industry standard analysis and modeling techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis and business rule identification. Some documents include Business and/or Functional Requirements, Options Analysis, UAT Plans and Test Cases, As -Is and To-Be business and systems processes, Entity relationship diagrams and requirements traceability matrices.
  • Identify and document proposed changes to business and/or functional requirements in the form of project change requests.
  • The BA will utilize maintain up to date versions of documentation in the GC Docs repository.
