One of our health authority clients is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to develop business cases for Microsoft 365 application implementations (OneNote, OneDrive, Exchange) - HYBRID

This is a 5-month contract, with chance of extension. Preference will be given to candidates in the Lower Mainland, BC. Out-of-province candiates will be considered, if they may align to PST working hours and are open to occasional on-site visits.

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Proven experience in developing M365 strategic deployment roadmaps, validating requirements and approach, estimating resources and costs, formulating schedules, establishing governance and developing business cases
  • Demonstrable experience planning and implementing Microsoft 365, related office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.) and M365 services such as Azure, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure Active Directory Federation Service (ADFS), and InTune
  • Experience designing and executing migration intiatives from Microsfot Exchange on-prem to Exchange Online, Sharepoint on-prem to Sharepoint Online, and migrating content on enterprise LAN folders to OneDrive
  • Knowlege of intergrating Azure MFA with M365 and Azure enterprise applications
  • 2+ years of experience working with a BC Health Authority 

  • Review Project Documentation: M365 Discovery Report, Corporate Cloud Services Executive Directive, Draft M365 roadmap, current Azure and on-proem architecture, Use Case Scenarios and Business Requirements, and other M365-related internal documentation.
  • Develop M365 strategic deployment plan (program approach, sequence and timing of M365 major activities, delivering value early and often), and M365 Business Case.
  • Validate high-level program and sub-project costs / RoMs and provide expertise to refine estimates.


This Health Authority has made major strides forward on its M365 intiative:
  • Discovery: Developed high-level cloud strategy, policy directive and roadmap
  •  On-Premise Capability: Exchange, SharePoint 2016 (two universes), MS Office 2016 (desktop)
  • Hybrid: Active Directory
  • Cloud: Azure Tenant implemented fall of 2021; Azure MFA also implemented
  • MS Enterprise Licenses: E3 currently, budget and plan to move to E5
  • Applications: MS Teams limited deployment during COVID to support remote work - IM, Calls and Meetings
    • MS DevOps – Azure Boards used to support basic work management and agile/hybrid-agile projects
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM in production, with plans to expand system to more FNHA programs & service
    • This deployment included specific Power Platform components, including limited pilot of Power BI
    • MS Teams Phone - project in discovery phase
  • Resourcing: Building up IMIT’s internal team resources and capabilities re: application development, systems support and maintenance
  • Program: Launching M365 project in fall of 2022 to support detailed planning and implementation
