Our Energy client is looking for a Senior Category Manager to own high value contracts, evaluate supplier proposals and lead negotiations that support Capital projects.
Must Haves:
Must Haves:
- 7+ years as a Category Manager, owning, managing and negotiating all commercial aspects of a Supply Chain category (e.g., engineering, construction, IT, materials, etc.)
- Ability to provide Project Procurement support (lifecycle) - strategies, plans (budget & procurement plans), contract negotiation, value creation
- Ability to execute company purchasing process for medium to high complexity materials and/or services assigned
- Experience working with Managed Service Provider contracts
- Supply Chain or Project Management related certifications (e.g., SCMP, CPSM, Six Sigma, PMP, MCIPS​) are considered an asset.
- Experience with-in utilities, midstream, and/or power industries would be an asset
- Exposure to digital procurement tools such as PowerAdvocate, SAP/Ariba, PowerBI, Ivalua, etc. would be an asset
- Develop procurement strategies, project procurement plans, manage RFx events using SCM tools and templates to maximize value creation
- Conduct market-based analysis to support successful negotiations and enhance values
