Senior Cloud Architect to assist with executing and delivering digital solutions for a large government department
Our public sector client requires a Secret Cleared Senior Cloud Architect to assist with executing and delivering digital solutions hosted in the cloud. The resource will act as a subject matter expert to guide and provide expert advice on software development and cloud solutions.
- Conceptualize, design, prototype, implement, and enhance Azure or AWS cloud architectures, platforms, and applications to align with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Offer technical expertise in areas of architecture, cybersecurity, and deployment strategies for cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions.
- Collaborate closely with diverse teams to comprehend application requirements, evaluate security positions, and implement robust security procedures and technical remedies.
- Validate the feasibility of recommended strategies and implementations across the client’s cloud service offerings, encompassing both cloud and OpenShift Container Platform.
- Advocate and apply Cloud Native architecture best practices in the development and deployment of cloud-based systems.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, models, architectural artifacts, designs, and plans for seamless implementation.
- Embrace a Security by Design approach in strategizing design frameworks, prioritizing the integration of security measures from the outset.
- Adhere to application life cycle methodologies, project timelines, and project plans, ensuring seamless execution within specified parameters.
- Employ Agile project management methodologies, fostering flexibility and responsiveness in project execution.
- Provide ongoing support for cloud solutions, offering assistance and guidance to development team members as needed.
Hands-on technical experience with AWS cloud and/or Azure cloud architecture
Relevant Azure OR AWS certifications
Proficient in communicating complex technical information or project status to executives, business units, technical teams or IT suppliers
Must have a Federal Government Secret Security clearance
