Senior Cloud DBA to support the migration of an Oracle database to AWS cloud in the public sector

Our public sector client requires a Secret Cleared Senior Cloud DBA to support the migration of an Oracle database to AWS cloud in the public sector. The resource will be responsible for architecting the data model and schema to get to the new database.

Responsibilities:

• Work in the Cloud Governance, support the Database Department to establish best practices and improvements in the existing/new ecosystems
• Orchestrate and automate cloud-based improvements to the Database Family, including development / test automation framework
• Migrate client-based application to a cloud-based environment (AWS), establishing best practices to move/transform data to same/different database technologies
• Work in a collaborative environment with other developers, ops engineers, database engineers and cloud enabling team, each with specific responsibilities toward scrum development process

Must Have:

• Experience with Oracle database
• Experience with AWS cloud
• Experience with data modelling

Nice to Have:

• GOC experience
