Senior COBOL Systems Analyst (10+ Years) to assist in the detailed analysis, development, testing and maintenance of various solutions

Our Public Sector Client Requires a Senior COBOL Systems Analyst (10+ Years) to assist in the detailed analysis, development, testing and maintenance of various solutions involved in the enteprise wide digital modernization to improve the efficiency, quality, and access of services to Canadians. 

Responsibilities to Include:

• Participating in all aspects of systems design, analysis and implementation of a large system and/or development project
• Assisting in the analysis of requirements, processes and data towards developing and implementing solutions which address business and technical needs
• Design data structures and files, sub-systems and modules, programs (online and batch), and production monitoring procedures, testing strategy and systems
• Producing system specifications based on business requirements for use by Java and/or COBOL developers
• Performing unit, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing as required
• Supporting systems in test and production environments
• Preparing the system for releases (production and lower states) and coordinating all changes with impacted partners

Must Haves:

• 10+ years within the last 15 years withing with COBOL and/or CICS development 
• 10+ years working with DB2 relational databases
• 4+ years within the last 10 years working on an IBM Mainframe Platform

Nice to Haves:

• 8+ years experience in design an ddveelopment with each of the following technologies: TSO, JCL, MQ Series, SQL, Expediter, Strobe, Workbench SDFII
• Experience developing with Java (swing and/or spring)
