Story Behind the Need
Business group:
The GBM&T Compliance - Global Central team provides support to Global Banking & Markets (GBM) and Group Treasury (GT) Compliance programs globally, working with GBM and GT senior management teams and their first line of defence teams, GBM&T Compliance regional teams, different Enterprise Compliance teams, and various other stakeholders within the bank.

Project: This project within Compliance is part of a transformation initiative for Compliance Monitoring for GBM and Treasury. The contractor would help complete and populate the inventory template to record specific information for compliance monitoring activities that the bank’s first line of defense and Compliance teams are engaged in. 

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the Compliance Transformation initiative for Monitoring for Global Banking & Markets (GBM) and Group Treasury (GT) by completing assigned compliance monitoring activity inventory. The incumbent achieves the above through
identifying required information: a) in relevant Compliance and first line of defense procedures and other documents, and b) through discussions with monitoring activity owners from various first line of defense and Compliance units.
o Review relevant documents, engage relevant stakeholders to acquire necessary information, familiarize and refer to GBM’s and GT’s global business unit structures and risk taxonomies, and timely, effectively, and accurately complete the monitoring activity inventory within project timeline. For any missing information (not in the documents but required in the template), the incumbent will need to go back to activity owners to discuss and get the necessary information.
• Provide timely and accurate guidance to stakeholders about the initiative, the inventory template, and relevant underlying program documents. Provide effective challenge on the information received vis-à-vis what is required by the project, the inventory template, and relevant program documents.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from various levels of seniority, functions, and locations (global) to ask the right questions to get the necessary information. The ability to summarize and articulate feedback from stakeholders in a succinct manner is required in this role.

Must Have Skills:
1) 5-7+ years of relevant experience in Compliance Monitoring program implementation or management, and/or senior Testing roles with a large Bank(s) with prominent, multinational Wholesale Banking and Capital Markets businesses
2) Demonstrated strong understanding of:
a) Compliance Monitoring and/or Testing program implementation or management, and
b) Wholesale Banking and Capital Markets businesses, and the relevant Compliance Monitoring requirements and procedures for both Compliance and first line of defense (domestically and globally, and from both regulatory and industry perspectives),
3) Demonstrated ability to comprehend a large number of policies and procedural documents and identify requested information quickly and precisely
4) Demonstrated strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to manage a large amount of data effectively and efficiently
5) Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating with and managing multiple stakeholders

Nice-To-Have Skills:
  •  Experience in Compliance Advisory and/or first line of defense roles supporting Wholesale Banking and Capital Markets businesses in a large international Bank(s)
  •  Experience / background in Project Management
  •  Previous experience using Visio

Education:
Bachelor's degree – in business, legal, or a related field
