Our client is looking for a Senior Content Designer with experience in content strategy, copywriting, and help with the contextual parts of an application.

Project Duration: 6 months, plus possibility of extension; on site 3-4 days a week in Downtown Toronto.

Must Haves:
  • Advanced understanding of appropriate software, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Skilled in branding and content strategy, UX/UI writing, marketing channels and content editing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in collaboration tools: Mural, Trello, etc.
  • Familiarity with prototyping and presentation tools: Figma, Figmajam, Sketch, inVision, Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator, but other app experience is helpful) Apple Keynote, Microsoft PowerPoint.

In this role, you will:
  • Translate brand and UX strategies and information into emotionally compelling, desirable, and polished content to drive user behaviors

  • Execute content audits and subsequent content recommendations
  • Collaborate with all disciplines, while overseeing content throughout an entire project
  • Inspire and mentor fellow Content Designers and IBMers
  • Leverage storytelling and design to present to key stakeholders
  • Utilize user-centered design principles and best practices to produce high-quality content for deliverables across multiple platforms: presentations, style guides, personas, journey maps, websites and mobile apps, video scripts, prototypes, and more
  • Think big—express a brand’s personality and values experientially, stretching into new territory that goes beyond messaging and style
  • Balance stakeholder needs and work selflessly to ensure that decisions are always made in the interest of the optimal user experience
 
We are looking for a person with:
  • Degree in information design, writing, English, psychology, journalism, communication, or related field, or a technical degree
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in content design, copywriting and/or content strategy
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading small-/medium-size projects, including the ability to navigate scope, work with large teams, and present ideas to clients
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and relationship-building experience
  • Knowledge of best practices in content design across multiple channels
