Senior Data Engineer to expand and optimize the Data Warehouse and Enterprise Information Management (EIM) architecture within the financial industry

Our client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to expand and optimize the Data Warehouse and Enterprise Information Management (EIM) architecture within the financial industry.

The Date Engineer will be responsible for working closely with the IS Architecture team to expand and optimize the Data Warehouse and Enterprise Information Management (EIM) architecture, as well as optimize the collection, the flows and distributed access of data.

Must Haves:

• 7+ years experience as a Data Engineer that has hands-on experience building data pipelines
• 4+ years of Python or Java development experience
• 4+ years of SQL experience
• 4+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
• Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
• Experience with ML libraries and frameworks
• Strong understanding of data science concept

Nice to Haves:

• A certificate in Data Engineering 
• Bachelor's degree or diploma required in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent

Responsibilities:

• Designs and builds Data Pipelines and is an experienced data wrangler.
• Supports our software developers, data analysts, database administrators and data scientists on data initiatives.
• Works to ensure optimal data delivery architecture remains consistent throughout ongoing projects.
• Must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.
