Description:
  • The Accounting Policy Implementation team is responsible for all technical accounting assessment, financial statement reporting development, and advisory consultation to optimize business results for the accounting standard implementation.
  • The team supports all segments of the consolidated Bank, all legal entity subsidiaries as well as the consolidated entity that are impacted by the implementation. The team is involved with all advocacy efforts, including working with Canadian Bankers Association, the Insurance Bureau of Canada, Canadian Life and Health Industry Association, Canadian Alternative Reference
  • Rate working group and the Alternative Reference Rate working group. The team also assists on assessing the impact of changes to regulatory reporting and regulatory capital guidance.
  • As advisors, the team considers relevant interpretations and alternatives to achieve optimal business outcomes, working closely with the cross-functional project teams.
  • The Accounting Policy Implementation Manager Contractor -, Chief Accountant's Department, Advisory and Policy Specialized Reporting and Solutions Management (SRSM) will support the Accounting Policy Implementation teamBank's significant accounting standard implementations working on the accounting standard implementation projects, as well as have independent work responsibilities and deliverables. The team is working on . the The focus will be on two projects: IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts and IBOR Reform initiative implementations.




Must haves
  • 5+ years experiencr as a Financial Analayst 
  • Strong IFRS technical accounting background


Nice to haves
  • US GAAP experience in financial instruments and banking issues the same areas is an asset.
