Our client is seeking a Senior IT Manager to continue the improvement of IT operations, infrastructure and delivery.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with competitive salary and extended health and wellness benefits offered! The end client is in Calgary, AB with the successful candidate required to be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week (first 1-2 months fully in office for training).

Must-Have Skills:
  • 6+ years’ experience as an IT Manager (or IT Leadership role)
  • Supervision and technical maintenance of all computer systems and IT Infrastructure
  • Ability to be technically hands-on and understand technical infrastructure environment (Microsoft and Windows)
  • Experience incorporating cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Cybersecurity certifications/credentials: CISSP, CISM
  • Credentials within management, including but not limited to: PMP, Master’s in Business, etc.

Responsibilities Overview:
  • Continuing the improvement of IT operations, monitoring the performance of IT services, and providing guidance to IT team members ensuring projects and deliverables are completed on-time and within budget
  • Design, develop, upgrade, and implement disaster recovery strategies, network/server and related infrastructure planning, and other critical IT services (Cloud, SharePoint, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, etc.)
  • Work closely with Senior, Executive and C-Suite level management, Third-Party Vendors, Client Company’s, and other department leaders to ensure IT initiatives follow the corporate strategy
  • Solutioning, reviewing and finding new technology to improve company efficiency
  • Presenting business cases to stakeholders and senior leadership and running steering committee meetings
  • Plan and implement any required policies, procedures, systems, and projects to grow the IT strategy and success measures
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budget (CapX and OpeX) and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Provide ongoing team mentorship and career development for direct reports (coaching, training, performance reviews, facilitate trainings, etc.)
