Our client is looking for a Senior IT/OT security specialist to lead and manage the OT Cyber security efforts for a midstream energy company.

This position can work out the clients Alberta based office location (preference is Calgary, open to Edmonton, or Sherwood Park)

The successful candidate will have a valid driver's license as there is required travel at least once a month to field locations. You will be well-organized, energetic, and service oriented with the following qualifications:

Must Haves:
  • 15+ years experience working within Operational Technology with multi-platform control systems (SCADA, DCS, DNS, Real Time data management etc.)
    • Provide oversight and approval for key OT engineering deliverables such as Network architecture, telecommunications, wireless networks, network security and firewalls
    • Monitor OT cybersecurity alerts through the use of various security monitoring tools to respond, triage, and escalate as needed
    • Experienced in the development and review requirements of project documentation (Control System Architecture drawings, design basis documents, engineering and construction work packages, etc.)
    • Experienced in Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), Safety Integrity Level Assessment (SILA) reviews such as Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
    • Experienced in the Development of Corporate and Projects standards, specifications, guidelines and philosophies documents and drawings 
  • Previous experience working in Oil and Gas/Refinery industry
  • Experience with Asset Inventory Mangement products such as : Tenable, Nozomi, Dragos, Clarity or Verve
  • Familiarity with current cybersecurity best practices and standards (NIST, ISA 62443, NERC/CIP)
    • ‚ÄčStrong understanding of industrial control networks and Cyber security
  • Experience with PLC/DCS configuration (RTU, HMI, SCADA)
  • Valid Drivers license with drivers abstract (travel to Grand Prairie, Calgary, Fort Mac, Rocky Mountain house & Edmonton)
  • Must be fully vaccinated
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently with minimum supervision

  • Strong team player with proven communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
