Senior Java Systems Analyst (Java, RESTful, Angular) to assist in the development of several web applications relating to public appeals

Our valued public sector client is seeking a Senior Java Systems Analyst (Java, RESTful, Angular) to assist in the development of several web applications relating to public appeals.

The Appeals Modernization Project (AMP) is aimed at modernizing the IT systems supporting all programs of the branch to achieve the goal of timely dispute resolution and excellent service. The consultant is tasked with the development of IT solutions based on requirements in the product backlog following Agile/Scrum.  There is also an additional requirement for a resource to assist with the development of a Chatbot for online services

Tasks/Deliverables:

• Conduct detailed analysis, create, configure and maintain structured system documentation;
• Prepare, maintain and support CRA’s eBCI development environments; resolve incidents and problems;
• Perform building, testing, packaging, and documenting of application releases;
• Support a multi-tier application development;
• Work in an Agile development framework;
• Support continuous build tools (e.g., Jenkins, Maven) and a DevOps environment;
• Support JIRA, GIT;
• Support development and testing activities (end-to-end, integration, unit testing of the various components);
• Adhere to quality assurance standards;
• Support systems in test and production environments;
• Perform complex problem resolution/debugging.

 
Must haves:

• Degree/Diploma in CS, Systems engineering or a related field
• 4 years experience with Java, RESTful API design and implementation, SDLC, Javascript, Angular
