Our large Oil & Gas downtown Calgary client is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to provide operational firewall, switching and routing support.
This is an initial 1-year contract position with a potential for extension. The successful candidate would be local to Calgary and open to being in office for a minimum of 3 days/week.

This is an initial 1-year contract position with a potential for extension. The successful candidate would be local to Calgary and open to being in office for a minimum of 3 days/week.
Must-Have Skills:
- 8+ years' networking protocol and administration experience
- Experience with network troubleshooting and monitoring practices (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, BGP, etc.)
- Experience with Voice/ VoIP
- Strong firewall experience (upgrading, troubleshooting, deploying, etc.)
- Cisco and Juniper routing and switching experience
Responsibilities Overview:
- Participate in projects to selecting and deploying new solutions, provision incident solution, and participate in all stages of the network life cycle
- Maintain and configure; security appliances (Cisco FMC/FTD/ASA, SonicWall), routers and switches (Cisco/Juniper), load balancers (F5), management platforms (Cisco ISE/Prime/DNAC, F5 Big-IQ) and network documentation
- Coordinate troubleshooting and service recovery of escalated network and customer reported issues
- Research, design, and deploy new solutions to keep network service capabilities leading edge
- Ensure critical network infrastructure meets disaster recovery requirements industry security standards
