Our valued Public Sector client is in need of a Senior Privacy Impact Assessment Specialist to review and analyze legislation and government directives in order to meet current Government of Canada standards.

Must haves:
- A valid Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or Certified Information Privacy Professional / Canada (CIPP/C) designation.
- Experience writing formal (Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) Reports
- 5 years experience, within the last ten years:
- conducting a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) of IT projects in accordance with the requirements of the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) Privacy Impact Assessment Directive and TBS Privacy Impact Assessment Policy and Guidelines.
- utilizing or applying privacy impact assessment guidance from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada for the purposes of conducting a Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) process or related privacy analysis.
- conducting PIA’s for IT projects for law enforcement or other public-sector clients (i.e., federal, provincial, or municipal governments)
- conducting a PIA on a solution for public sector clients (i.e., federal, provincial, or municipal governments), involving IM/IT systems.
- conducting a PIA on a project that was determined to be high-risk or privacy invasive based on the risk factors and risk assessment guide outlined in the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada’s guidance document titled “Expectations: OPC’s Guide to the Privacy Impact Assessment Process”.
- developing Privacy Risk Management Plans.
- conducting a PIA for projects involving a Cloud-based Software as a Service delivery model.
- Reviewing, updating and creating Personal Information Banks (PIB)
