Our telecommunications client is looking for a Senior Product Manager to provide strategic direction and operations of our Content Deliveries and Merchandising strategies for Local Content portfolio. 

Initially 12-month contract with chances of extension. Work remote in BC or Alberta. 

Must have: 
  • Experienced in developing executing content marketing strategies to drive audience engagement by increasing viewership
  • Demonstrated track record of designing new processes to support the increased demands or introductions of new programs.

Scope of work: 
  • Working closely with the Manager of Local Content Program Office, STORYHIVE Website Product Manager, Content Deliveries Project Coordinator as well as internal and external stakeholders, you will design, evolve, facilitate and launch new digital processes to support the delivery of all Local Content funded productions annually for originals, STORYHIVE and Community Content creators.
  • Develop, secure support, implement and articulate a differentiated effective strategy and tactics related to merchandising of 19 Local Content Community Showcase Channels and the Local Content Storefront, which feature STORYHIVE and original content. Merchandising tactics include content planning, packaging, positioning, content lifecycle management, content placement, promotional stunts and themes
  • Develop the partnerships, community showcase channel recommendations and standardized guidelines.
  • Lead and collaborate on cross-functional teams across all business units, specifically Content team (merchandising and provisioning) to ensure successful deliveries of all Local Content assets for provisioning and merchandising, enable content deliveries, improve methods to better support content delivery and merchandising, and support the evolution of the Local Content team’s deliveries processes.
  • Collaborate with the Content Management Operations and Merchandising teams who collectively lead the hands-on implementation of the day-to-day content management requirements, such as recategorizing, reprovisioning and sorting content.
  • Analyze viewership results (of Showcase Channels, content streams and titles), identify trends, design stunts and themes to increase customer engagement with local content; create merchandising and channel refresh plans and present recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Manage the creation of Ad Avails and Trailers for STORYHIVE and original titles, including creative input, vendor management, as well as scheduling and logistics coordination.
  • Develop, own and maintain merchandising and deliveries roadmaps and support team requirements through the intimate understanding of our STORYHIVE and originals content, timelines, customer engagement, regulatory guidelines, livestreaming and technology requirements.
