Our valued Public Sector client requires a Senior Program Reviewer to provide strategic guidance and direction for the Program Management Office (PMO). Reporting to the Director of the PMO, this consultant will help lead the PMO for a large-complex government initiative.

- MSP certification (Managing Successful Programs)
- PMP or Prince 2 Certification or other PMI accredited certification
- Experience with Complex Projects on an enterprise level
- Experience working in a PMO
- Experience with Project Server / PMIS
- Develop PMO guidelines, standards and processes for project management best practices;
- Follow, revise and/or modernize and implement project management governance
- Define and document PMO team development objectives
- Determine resource requirements (HR and financial), PMO composition, roles, responsibilities and terms of reference for the team;
- Coach, mentor and direct PMO staff in project management processes (as defined by the Project Management Institute)
- Planning and organizing a program management office
- Develop and maintain project plans (including Work Breakdown Structures, Integrated Schedules, Management tracking, risks and dependencies, and other relevant project documents)
- In conjunction with the project teams, is responsible for ensuring the necessary gating/review processes are completed satisfactorily and on time
- Assist in the development of strategies and processes, manage program risk, change, issues, communication, project status and reporting.
- Provide professional services (Agile / Scrum/ stakeholder meetings, etc.) to support project as required
- Assess the organization's capacity/capability to undertake and successfully deliver a project in the context of the overall program priorities through strategic planning;
- Assist in the prioritization and assignment of projects within the program/portfolio
- Meet with organizational executives to ensure all organizational (internal and external) stakeholders are committed to moving forward on the project (for example opportunity evaluation);
- Coordinating and preparing documentation in response to scheduled and unscheduled reports,
- returns and observations to update management on project progress
- Make recommendations and providing advice for improvements and assist in developing solutions and implementing recommendations (for example policy development and standards development);
- Develop project alternatives and identifying their administrative, economic, and technical feasibility and practicality associated policy and organizational change requirements;
- Provide an assessment of client’s documentation maturity and ready-state for the intended purpose or audience
