Our valued public sector client is in need of a Senior Project Manager to analyze current SDLC processes and provide Capacity planning solutions.
The SDLC capasity planning is currently outdated. This resource will need to analyse the current process and provided improvements with a revamped streamlined process.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate current IT DevOps capacity planning performance for major and minor releases and prepare plans for capacity procedures and provide comprehensive support.
- Analyze existing capacity processes, metrics and tools (including the use of and integration with Azure DevOps) and provide appropriate recommendation for process and tool enhancement improvements.
- Provide solutions to identifying how to forecast on resource capacity requirements for major and minor releases.
- Design and develop templates for all performance capacity analytics, statistics and reporting for management.
- Planning and coordinating project management activities including financial, resource planning and contracting aspects.
- Updating and providing briefings to senior management on progress and concerns affecting the organization's ability to achieve the project's business objectives.
- Coordinating and preparing documentation in response to scheduled and unscheduled reports, returns and observations to update management on project progress.
- Planning and coordinating the activities of project personnel, internal and external stakeholders, contractors and other support providers.
- Developing, planning, analyzing, evaluating and prioritizing deliverables and requirements.
- Defining and documenting development team objectives.
- Managing deliverables throughout the System Development Lifecycle Process.
- Determining and obtaining budgetary requirements, composition, roles, responsibilities and terms of reference for the team.
- Planning, directing and controlling the activities of a project team within scheduled time and cost parameters.
- Monitoring the design, implementation and operations of the project against established goals, objectives and milestones.
- Reporting progress of the project on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the life cycle
- Meeting with stakeholders and other project managers and stating problems in a form capable of being solved.
- Formulating and managing project plans by defining deliverables, identifying key milestones, reviewing project progress, and engaging in ongoing risk management.
- Coordinating and directing project team(s) in order to meet project objectives for content, quality, costs, and schedules.
- Provide updates on the improvements to the existing Capacity and Resource Planning processes and models and other Project Management artefacts
- Provide, update and track progress & status reports.
- Prepare and provide project Management Documents.
- Prepare and review material for senior Management briefing and dashboard reporting.
- Presentation decks, as required.
- Weekly status reports to the management team identifying accomplishments during the reporting period, outstanding issues, and planned activities for next time period.
- Status reporting will be through a variety of media, including but not limited to MS Word, MS Outlook, Azure DevOps, and daily standups/weekly project status meetings.
