Our valued Public Sector client requires a Senior Project Manager to lead process reviews ahead of an enterprise solution implementation. 

 

The team is designing a solution that will act as a one stop shop for all internal services, beginning with Human Resources and Real Property and Security Services.

The objectives of the portal are:

  • to make it easy for service clients to request services
  • to streamline business processes, where possible, so that service providers can be more efficient


The consultant will lead the development of business requirements, lead process reviews including facilitating consultations with stakeholders, and evaluate existing business processes to identify the best options to onboard them onto the portal, with the aim of streamlining processing and improving workflows.


The client is looking to further develop and refine the roadmap for change and the requirements for successful implementation of the enterprise solution. Specifically, an analysis of the current service delivery model and its variance to the proposed service delivery model, and the development of strategies to align all stakeholders to a new service delivery model. The objective of this project is to modernize the client's business administration functions through a unified horizontal enterprise solution, thereby enabling employees across the Agency to focus more on their core responsibilities and less on administrative tasks.

 

Tasks:


  • Develop the project plan and project schedule.
  • Planning and coordinating project management activities including financial, planning and contracting aspects.
  • Planning and coordinating the activities of project personnel, internal clients, contractors and other support providers.
  • Preparing formal work breakdown structure
  • Ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project.
  • Setting project’s priorities in consultation with the product owner.
  • Planning project’s scope and sequencing.
  • Developing schedules and cost estimation.
  • Managing risks, issues and reporting progress.
  • Create Business Modernization Programme charter
  • Lead the Project Directing Committee

  • Producing end-to-end journey maps on corporate services under mandate.
  • Leading ongoing consultations with service providers and clients and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement the people side of the project changes

  • Update and discuss with project team findings and recommendations throughout the project
  • Performing requirements analysis.
  • Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
  • Ensuring users adopt the new solution and processes.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Producing end-to-end journey maps on corporate services.
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Remain up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Performing requirements analysis.
  • Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.

Must-haves:


  • 5+ years of experience managing projects during development, implementation, and operations set up for the Federal government
  • 2+ years of gating experience
