Our valued financial sector client is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Project Manager to provide guidance and oversight for several Cyber Security Monitoring / Response projects.
Initial 1-year contract, with a strong likelihood of extension to a total 3 year term. Hybrid work model: 2 days/week of on-site work will be required in downtown Ottawa, ON.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the operational support and task management of a large team (20+ staff) focused on deploying & enhancing new technologies related to Monitoring & Response, Threat Hunting, and Detection Engineering.
Responsibilities:

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the operational support and task management of a large team (20+ staff) focused on deploying & enhancing new technologies related to Monitoring & Response, Threat Hunting, and Detection Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee medium cyber technology (such as cloud security operationalization) projects, that typically involve multiple systems, processes, and stakeholders at various levels within the cyber division and across several IT portfolios, including the overall scope, schedule, and deliverables by applying project management methodologies for planning, tracking, change control and risk management
- Develop and present project proposals, project plans, status reports and change and risk logs
- Oversee change requests and risk mitigation plans
- Work with resource managers to identify appropriate resources and support their integration into teams
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders and business partners to ensure understanding of client needs and support effective resolution of client inquiries and concerns
- Lead daily scrum meetings to provide guidance to technical teams to identify and prioritize deliverables
- Provide advice and guidance to others on matters relating to project management practices and methodologies as well as SCRUM principles
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager overseeing a project team for the definition and implementation of cyber security solutions (e.g. IAM/PAM, EDR, SIEM, cloud security, etc.) in a complex enterprise environment
- Experience working with Azure Sentinel or similar cloud security products
- Experience with Splunk / Tanium as Cyber solutions
- Scrum Master or Agile certification
- Relevant Cyber Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc..)
- PMP Certification
