Our valued client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support multiple medium/large IT transformation projects within a major Banking Operations portfolio!

3-Year Contract (100% Remote)!

As the successful candidate you will provide senior project management guidance and oversight for several medium to large IT transformation initiatives within a major financial enterprise environment. This will include coordination across the projects and reporting on status and metrics of each of the initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide project management expertise for all project activities by working with stakeholders, project team members and groups across the organization using proven project management best practices and methodologies
  • Oversee the project during the solution selection, configuration, implementation and transition to operations support by ensuring resources are adequately utilized and the project is completed and fully operational within previously agreed upon timelines, budget and performance parameters
  • Develop project plans and prioritize work to achieve project objectives, working with project resources and ensuring the collaboration with other teams, as required.
  • Oversee project risks, issues, and interdependencies while delivering defined scope and work plans within defined quality and timeframes
  • Prepare plans, charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing, displaying and socializing progress, challenges, issues and problems by using a variety of project management tools
  • Track, monitor, and communicate project progress (team velocity) against project plan, requirements, quality measures, standard processes, and milestones using a variety of project management tools
  • Develop and maintain effective and collaborative business relationships with stakeholders to effectively oversee projects by ensuring understanding of client needs and support effective resolution of client inquiries and concerns
  • Work with internal resource managers to identify appropriate resources and oversee their integration into the teams
  • Oversee and communicate unplanned project activities like re-planning, re-calibration, etc.
Must-Have Skills
  • 8+ years of recent demonstrated experience on large initiatives (more than 40 project resources, over multiple years) in the financial sector (banks, financial institutions, market participants, etc.)
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver strategic projects
Nice-to-Have:
  • Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g. SAFe, CSM, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the implementation of an Integrated Risk Management solution/project
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) - Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) certifications
