S.i. Systems enterprise public sector client is seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist to procure goods and/or services for their dynamic and detail-oriented team! - RITM0063022

Must reside in BC during the contract period even when working remotely and be ready to report to the office starting in the fall (once a month in the office)

JOB DUTIES:

• Develop procurement strategy
• Conduct bids
• Negotiate contracts
• Advise junior staff as SME on day-to-day purchasing functions

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• Must have 6-10 years’ experience in direct purchasing of goods or services and supply chain
• Enterprise level experience
• Supply chain education: Could be SCMA Accreditation or business school courses related to supply chain
• Experience developing bid documents (RFP/RFIQ/ITT, etc.)
• Ability to negotiate complex contracts
• Working knowledge of legal issues as they relate to the procurement of goods and services

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

• Created bid/tenders for a public entity
• Preferably with experience in the service side or in IT
• Preferably with procurement experience in the public sector
