Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct the end-to-end research process, strategically applying a range of qualitative methods to help guide and inform the experience design of BMO digital products & services:
- Planning: Create research plans that guide the cross-functional business in gathering new knowledge; ensuring timely research delivery of insights.
- Recruitment: Recruit a representative sample of research participants via internal and external pipelines.
- Method Execution: Select and apply various qualitative research methods (e.g. interviews, contextual inquiry, co-creation, usability testing)
- Analysis & Synthesis: Analyze internal and external data sets, making sense of the data to uncover actionable insights and recommendations for the business
- Share: Generate and share a compelling narrative of what was discovered, highlighting key recommendations to stakeholders and digital teams
- Independently balance and execute research studies across your business group/focus area.
- Cross-functionally partner with internal and external stakeholders across Design, Product, Content Strategy, Digital Strategy, Technology, and Business.
- Work closely with your Sr. Manager in planning a research roadmap for your respective focus area, intaking and prioritizing new requests as they arise.
- Stay closely connected with your extended UXR Wealth portfolio team members, ensuring we’re continuously threading knowledge and learnings together across products
- Alongside our broader UX Research team, contribute to and support in continually evolving best practices around the research craft and focused specializations.
Must Have Skills:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Qualitative UX Researcher, working in a digital environment
- Strong expertise in applying qualitative methods, understanding the strengths and limitations of the craft
- Hands-on experience executing the end-to-end research process: gathering requirements, prioritizing, planning research, recruitment, gathering data, analyzing & summarizing results, and sharing findings
- High comfortability with various data set structures (large or small, structured or unstructured)
- Strong experience triangulating data types when conducting qualitative analyses
- Strong execution skills (User testing, User interviews) or similar Functions
- FI experience is STRONG NICE TO HAVE
- 1-2 Rounds of Microsoft Teams
- 2nd round of interview would comprise of sharing previous project work
