Our Valued Public Sector Client is seeking two Senior Secret Cleared Application / Software Architects to support continued development and maintenance of multiple public and internal facing .NET web applications

Description: 

The client environment is C#.NET, SQL 2019, WCAG and Azure Devops and are working on multiple initiatives such as:

Geospatial/ Real Property, Work Agreement Applications, Official Languages, Identification, Employment Equity, Performance Managment and internal applications on the portal that they are modernizing.

The systems are in .NET web applications with a custom-built geospatial component that is both accessible to the general public and through an authenticated connection. This resource will supplement an existing team of staff and will assist with the steady high volume of service and development of tickets in the issue tracking system. The resources will ensure all maintenance to the application, client requested enhancements, bug fixes, and service requests in both systems and improve the efficiency of the uploading of geospatial data submitted by custodians while also supporting improvements in both .NET applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in architecture & design sessions with architects and clients
  • Work with infrastructure partners to help define deployment strategy
  • Develop and document solution design
  • Design and implement complex data models
  • Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective procedures and system requirements that meet business requirements.
  • Participate in the gathering and documenting of requirements from non-technical business users.
  • Create functional design documents; translate the business requirements into system requirements, create a prototype of recommended solutions, demo to the users, and implement the solution
  • Develop human based workflow processes
  • Execute and document unit tests for all developed work
  • Assist in all aspects of solution testing and testing documentation
  • Complete tasks to specification and within appropriate timeframes
  • Communicate Conceptual and Detail Designs to Client and Development Team
  • Identify the policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution
  • Identify and recommend technical options.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to project authorities
