Our Valued Public sector client is seeking Senior Secret Cleared Database Modeller to  Design, develop and maintain Logical, Physical and Conceptual Data Models within the Public Sector 

Job Description:
 
Our Client continues to deploy multiple internal developed applications and COTS; and technologies to support the integration of corporate projects involving Business Process and Forms, Collaboration, CRM, Data Modernization, Canada.ca integration and Portals. The projects will focus on planning, deploying, and targeting new or significant modifications of existing and new enterprise implementations. Our Client is also planning for the ongoing support of existing and future products and development technologies and can foresee the use of other technologies as needed. Our Client equires Informatics Professional Services in various Technologies delivery mechanism to plan, design, build, test, implement, configure/develop, support, enhance and maintain various current and future infrastructure and data services, products, technologies, and back/front-office projects.
 
Must Have:
  • 10+ years Designing, Developing, and maintaining conceptual, logical and physical data models
  • 3+ years creating, and maintaining data models with data modelling tools.
Tasks:
  • Develop and maintain strategic and tactical Architecture and Data Models for corporate and project-specific initiatives;
  • Identify data most valuable to the department, integrate data, and develop core relating data models based on data architecture and modeling design principles and tenets;
  • Design, develop and maintain Logical, Physical and Conceptual Data Models;
  • Design, develop and maintain data or business warehouse Logical and Physical Data Models;
  • Analyze proposed changes to databases from the context of the Logical Data Model;
  • Provide technical expertise in the use and optimization of data modeling techniques to team members;
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and direction in terms of data analysis and modeling to team members;
  • Participate in the development of data modeling and metadata policies and procedures;
  • Provide assistance to project team and business users relating to data issues and data analysis concepts;
  • Participate in the development of data modeling and metadata policies and procedures;
  • Apply approved changes to logical data models;
  • Comply with corporate data architectures, strategies, and frameworks, including enterprise data warehouse activities;
  • Review corporate architecture strategies and directions, data requirements, and business information needs and devise data structures to support them;
  • Improve modeling efficiency through recommendations on how to better utilize current metadata repositories;
  • Comply with corporate repository metadata directions;
  • Provide input to refinement of data architectures;
  • Participate in data architecture refinement;
  • Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases
  • Create and maintain data dictionaries
  • Create data modeling solutions for relational, dimensional, and non-relational databases
  • Collaborate with DBAs to implement physical modelling solutions for improving performances
  • Define access strategies;
  • Works with multidisciplinary teams such as database administrators, developers, data engineers, and data scientists;
  • Construct, monitor and report on work plans and schedules;
  • Work in JIRA, Azure DevOps, and SQL Change Automation.
 
Deliverables:
  • Design, develop and maintain Logical, Physical and Conceptual Data Models;
  • Status reports that shall include as a minimum: task worked on, work completed, time spent on task, new issues/problems, status of new/previous issues/problems;
  • Written estimated levels of effort for tasks;
  • Data Dictionaries;
