Our Valued Public Sector Client is seeking a Senior Secret Cleared UX Specialist to ensure that new and existing IM/IT projects adhere to established project management and delivery processes on various enterprise application integration projects
 
Description:
 
For context, our client is ongoing with the planning, management, and deployment of multiple technologies delivery mechanism in support of enterprise application integration projects involving Business Processes, Collaboration, Microsoft 365, Data Modernization, Canada.ca integration, and Portals. The projects will focus on planning, deploying, and targeting new or significant modifications of existing and new enterprise implementations. They are also planning for the ongoing support of existing and future products and development technologies and can foresee the use of other technologies as needed.
 
Must Haves:
  • 10+ years of experience conducting UX focused research, Wireframing and User Interface (UI) prototyping, Developing of UX visualisations such as personas, journey-maps, empathy maps, etc. 
Nice to Have:
  • Canadian or equivalent degree in one of the following: heuristics, communications, graphic design, psychology.
  • 3+ years within the last 5 years working with a Federal or Crown Corporation responsible for ensuring that a software application’s user interface followed all the following guidelines: 
    • Official Languages 
    • Accessibility  
    • Common Look and Feel 
 
Deliverables
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with users to solicit user requirements. 
  • Develop and document statements of requirements for considered alternatives, with a focus on delivering the best end-user experience.  
  • Perform business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows.  
  • Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document items that impact user experience such as database content, structure, application subsystems. 
  • Provide requirements and recommendations in support of solution delivery, focused on user experiences.  
  • Establish usability test criteria with clients.  
  • Support and use the selected departmental methodologies. 
  • Ensure that all custom application front-end interfaces meet the GC Standards on Web Accessibility, Web Interoperability, Web Usability; reflect the Canada.ca Content style guide and Canada.ca information architecture specs; conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 level AA guidelines; and specifications documentation
  • User interface diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes to illustrate the layout, flow and organization of websites and web- or mobile-enabled applications; 
  • Strategies and specifications to improve the performance, usability, and effectiveness of user interfaces; 
  • Presentations to the Architecture Working Group; 
  • Status reports – Weekly to Project Authority; 
  • Weekly timesheets.
