Our valued client is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to maintain, monitor and support servers and VMware in an enterprise environment.
Must haves:
Responsibilities:
• Continuously improve existing processes and procedures for supporting internal stakeholders.
• Implementing new projects and support migration and upgrade efforts
• Ensure that all cyber assets are maintained as per recommended procedures and practices. Patches and hotfixes are applied regularly.
• Ensure that database backups are maintained as per procedures, and disaster recovery plans and regular testing happens to manage risk.
• Work with Enterprise technical team to ensure site systems comply with corporate Cyber security requirements
• Provide senior technical expertise ensuring solutions to complex problems are viable
• Performs security assessments and provide recommendations for existing configurations.
• Schedules and coordinates systems maintenance activities
• Works with end users or lower-level staff to achieve common goals.
• Provides system analysis/troubleshooting by reviewing logs and working with application teams on production issues.
• Leads projects for infrastructure and systems upgrades/implementations.
Must haves:
- 8+ years' experience as a Systems Administrator
- Experience with configuration and security for Windows servers
- Experience with VMware
- Experience administering active directory and group policy
- Experience managing technology lifecycle, planning and executing system migrations
- Experience with process control systems (Yokogawa, Honeywell)
- Prior experience with CISCO, DELL, and HP environments
- Experience with Acronis, Solarwinds, and McAfee
- Familiar with process safety risks, process hazard analysis, and layers of protection analysis
- Solid understanding of cyber security policies and practices
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science
