The term of this contract is for a 1 year period commencing on notice of award and background clearance with two (2) one (1) year option to extend.

The location of the engagement will be at Toronto Police Headquarters, 40 College Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5G 2J3.

  • Must have Bachelor Degree (Computer Science, Engineering or related subject)
  • Must have PMP Certification from PMI
  • Must have Minimum of 10 years working experience in Project Management with experience leading at least two large projects that had a 2 year duration each.
  • Must have Minimum 1 year Business Analysis and Fit Gap Analysis expertise.
  • Experience working with Public Safety organizations. 
  • Demonstrated experience working on technology projects
  • A team player with a proven track record for meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional writing skills to create project documentation, and operational documents.
  • Must adapt to TPS/ITS working conditions and core values.
  • Demonstrated analytical and interpretative skills with knowledge of research design and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to conduct professional and collaborative business and technical communications.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable
  • Must have Minimum 1 year process improvement expertise.
  • Business Analyst certification (or MBA).
  • Process management improvement specialty or certification

The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for all aspects of a large service wide technical implementation project.  In addition, the PM may be assigned several small projects if time permits. The PM will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring and reporting of assigned projects; including but not limited to:  all documentation, project schedule, RAID log etc. The PM will adhere to TPS PMO standards.
The main project is the implementation of a complex service wide ERP system. Working in partnership with the Program Manager, Organizational Change Manager, Data Migration project manager, Process and Change management Project Manager, Business Analysts, Vendor, and various stakeholders.
The PM may also be required to collect, collate, and analyse user requirements, working with the Business Analyst (BA).  Note that if a BA is not assigned, the project schedule may be adjusted to accommodate the resource limitation
