Snr Business Analyst to participate in various RFI/RFP processes

Our valued client is looking for a Snr Business Analyst to participate in various RFI/RFP processes

1 year contract, hybrid in Ottawa

Responsibilities: 

• Develop a scoping framework to refine the scope from the existing backlog
• Engage the necessary stakeholders to define and document the scope for the project
• Lead the requirements gathering for solutions in an Agile DevOps framework
• Translate conceptual vision into business requirements, guiding leaders to develop the ideas
• Document detailed requirements for applications involving web and mobile components (Android and iOS)
• Developing process flows, wire frames etc. as needed, to capture the requirements
• Manage and maintain the requirements end-to-end with Microsoft DevOps (Agile - Epics, Features, User Stories / Test Suites , Test Cases)
• Facilitate requirements backlog grooming sessions with internal business stakeholders
• Work with internal development teams, external vendors and subcontractors to shape the requirements into roadmaps and release plans using both waterfall and agile approaches as needed
• Draft sections of RFP,RFI etc. using the requirements documentation, participate in various RFx processes like evaluation criteria development, vendor evaluation, vendor selection etc.
• Perform market scan to identify potential vendors and their relevant service/product offerings, Develop decision papers to support build vs buy etc.
• Lead the business case development process, Propose, document and present approaches and solutions to problems
• Work with internal team and vendor on sprint planning sessions
• Ensure quality objectives are met by implementing appropriate processes and test plans
• Develop domain and product knowledge to positively contribute to the project activities,ensure project activities are conducted in a timely manner and following established processes

Must Have Skills:

• 6+ years experience in a Business Analyst
• Experience in procurement processes such as RFI, RFP etc.
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience dealing with external software providers, SaaS vendors, consultancies

Nice to Have Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of development and testing strategies and methodologies, and life-cycle management
• Experience with Change Management, Quality Management, Project Management, and software development lifecycle
• Knowledge of change and project management principles, techniques and problem-solving techniques and strategies and risk control management
• Knowledge in various technologies including software, hardware and operating systems, database platforms (MS SQL and / or Oracle), web and SaaS applications and reporting environments
• Knowledge of the aviation industry is an asset, Experience working in Aviation and/or the RPAS industry, or demonstrable experience of working in similar (high efficacy/complex) industries
• Bilingualism will be an asset
