 Agile Project Manager/Scrum Manager
We are looking for a Sr. Agile PM / Scrum Manager to join our team of IT Delivery consultants, at a large telecommunications client.  
The key qualities that the PM/CSM must possess:
  • A good attitude and ability to adapt to ambiguous situations and new solutions/technologies will be essential qualities for the incumbent.
  • Ability to manage and lead diverse and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing difficult resources with ability to mediate and keep teams on track.
  • Ability to manage several projects at once, including all project timelines and budgets
  • Superior communication skills, in order to interact effectively with senior leadership – Directors, VP’s, etc.
 
The candidate will be working within the IT Business Intelligence Group, focusing on projects related to inbound and outbound offer management, AI/ML, and possibly data warehousing, etc.
Candidate will ideally be located in the GTA for any face-to-face sessions, but this is not a must-have.
Skills, Experience, Qualifications:
  • Scrum Master certification or at least 5-7 years’ recent experience managing Agile projects
  • Previous telecommunications experience would be nice but is not mandatory
  • Experience managing large E2E projects with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities
 
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives, create and maintain a project plan with resource estimation and deadlines.
  • Work with Product Owners to create and prioritize user stories.
  • Work with the Solutions Architect to develop and understand technical design requirements to ensure the delivery of scalable and re-usable solutions.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the scrum teams, including creating, prioritizing & managing the backlogs of activities.
  • Coach team members and product owners in agile frameworks.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand-ups, sprint demo, and Retrospectives.
  • Work with Product Owners and team members to provide updates to Senior Management on the squad deliverables.
  • Coach agile teams to develop their agility maturity.
  • Facilitate project team meetings – including immediate IT team, Vendors (internal / external), Business (when applicable), Operations, etc.
  • Build cost estimates for project phases.
  • Create and present Investment Priority Council (IPC) documentation (when applicable)
  • Create and manage Year End Estimates (YEE) budgeting, ensuring forecasts are met and variances are managed with sponsor. Includes forecasting staffing requirements and spending for budget.
  • When applicable on “Direct” projects, take responsibility for; creating Project Contract, updates YEE, complete all necessary Due Diligences, as well as complete Controller classification document and hold review with Controllers to get approval on spending.
  • Coordinate with Vendor PM’s on the creation of their vendor deliverables, such as; Data Mapping, System Specification and Design Specifications, Logical and Physical Data Models (LDM/PDM), Operations Documentation (Production Guides, etc.) - working with the Vendor PM to ensure their deliverables are complete and accurate with full Bell sign-off obtained.
  • Engage the QA team or BA to create test strategy and plan (when applicable)
  • Review test strategy and plan – ensure business sign-offs on plan and test cases.
  • Facilitate and Report on SFT/UAT test status SPM and Director. Hold daily UAT/SFT calls with the team for defect resolution.
  • Create Go/No Go log and hold Go/No Go call to secure extended teams buy-in to proceed with deployment.
  • Coordinate Deployment and Communication plan with vendors and provide updates on progress to Senior Program Manager, Director and VP.
  • Lead/Manage project through the Post Implementation Phase – facilitating the resolution of all defects during Post Implementation Support.
  • Ensure all financials are balanced and complete financial closure activities.
