Sr.  Automation Tester to perform manual/automation testing (Selenium/Cucumber) to support the development of DCM applications – 43408

Location: Toronto – Flexible Hybrid (in office for meetings)
Contract Duration: 6 months

Must have skills:

• At least 3+ years of Automation testing experience (using Selenium & Cucumber tools) and 5+ years of overall QA experience.
• Experience using Junit & Java (Spring Core & MVC) for automation testing
• Expert on concept of BDD/TDD (writing BDD Feature files)
• Experience of writing complex SQL queries
• Git/GitHub
• Hibernate/JPA
• Jenkins

 
Nice to have:

• Previously worked with offshore development teams
• Previously worked within a front office banking project in an Agile environment
• Working experience of development activities using Java based technologies (enterprise java applications)
• Working experience of managing environment and build / deployment activities
• Unix, Windows
• Understanding and experience of developing and designing Cloud Friendly applications
• Experience of automated build, deploy tools like Ansible etc.
• Experience on dependency virtualization tools like LISA
• Database design, documentation and administration.
• Good understanding of managing and building CI/CD pipeline and DevOps principles
• Experience of financial information systems development
• Financial product knowledge (both fixed income products – bonds, swaps, rates or equity products)

Project Details: The individual will be responsible for manual/automating testing and help team in various aspect like environment management, support and development of DCM applications. Work directly with DCM Technical Lead in London/Pune to implement automation test cases for functional and data requirements. Automate test cases to meet user requirements within the parameters of the application. Drive Behaviour Driven Development / Test Driven Development for the team. Document functionality for further use in global IT systems. Provide knowledge transfer and guidance for the rest of the team on testing strategy and automation testing. Provide 3rd line support when necessary
