Sr. Bilingual Linux System Administrator to deploy, test and maintain application products supporting security infrastructure for a Telecommunications client - 26610

Our valued client is seeking a Sr. Bilingual Linux System Administrator for an initial 12 month contract in Montreal. 

Job Description:
Working with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) team, you will have the opportunity to work on the automatic deployment of SIEM event management solutions, the management of security tools and the development of applications to support the latest technologies to monitor systems. You will support efforts to deploy and maintain critical infrastructure for platform customers.

Responsibilities: 

• Act as SME on Linux system administration and automation;
• Work with an agile team to deploy, test and maintain application products supporting SOC-Infrastructure;
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software;
• Participate in the continuous integration continuous delivery cycle (CICD);
• Develop preventive measures and write procedures;
• Propose solutions for improving or optimizing processes, programs and work methods.
• Take charge of large-scale projects and corporate projects involving different sectors.
• Set up and improve the various design quality controls.

Must Have Skills: 

• 5 Years Experince as a Linux System Administration (CentOS, Redhat, etc.) experience
• Expertise in automation solution (Ansible) and working knowledge of Ansible Tower
• Fault management tool (such as Zabbix, Prometheus) experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
• Virtualization (VMWare and container technologies, Proxmox, etc.) experience
• Intermediate and practical knowledge of information and network security (TCP/IP, DNS, proxy, Firewall) in medium or large environments
• Working knowledge of programming / scripting and development tools (Python, API, Gitlab)

Nice to Have Skills: 

• Knowledge of asset management and logging
