Our client is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst with previous capital markets experience to work on a Basel 3 regulatory initiative for a large banking client - 134425

Location: Hybrid
Duration: 12 months, possibility of extension

Department: PMO TBM Program
Business Unit: Enterprise Market Risk
Project Name: Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) is part of a larger initiative, the Trading Book Modernization Portfolio. FRTB is a Basel 3 regulatory initiative that sets out the minimum capital requirements for market risk.

Must-have Skills:
  • 3 -5 years Capital markets experience and/or in-depth capital markets risk knowledge
  • Prior experience working for Volcker implementation
  • Prior experience working with front office/capital markets business management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline 
  • Understanding of financial markets and trading businesses, both exchange traded and over the counter markets.
  • Knowledge of traded products including derivatives and their associated risks.
  • Expert qualitative and quantitative analysis skills 
Nice-to-have Skills:
  • Knowledge and experience of Volcker2.0
Daily Responsibilities:
  •  Review, update and set-up the operational controls and processes to support the FRTB trading desk qualitative requirements, Trading Book/Banking Book boundary and scope of application requirements
  • Lead detailed qualitative analysis, identifying, tracking, escalating and/or resolving issues
  • Prepare documentation to support the BAU transition of FRTB trading desk qualitative requirements, Trading Book/Banking Book boundary and scope of application requirements
  • Consult and coordinate with stakeholders to design and map business processes and procedures
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of the business transition plan for the FRTB Control Office
  • Facilitate small to large meetings and conduct information gathering sessions
  • Support the Self-Assessment Programs and Audit for the FRTB Program
What program/technology/software knowledge is essential for this role? 
  • MS Office, Expert Level Excel, SQL, Power Point
Interview Process: Interviews will be conducted remote via telephone and Webex. There will be 2 – 3 interviews required.
