- The Group Benefits Business Projects & Solutions team is looking for an experienced, proactive and energetic Project Manager with previous experience working on complex projects and programs. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, instinctively seek out innovative solutions, and view challenges as opportunities. This position requires a self-starter with strong organizational and leadership skills to ensure successful execution of a variety of concurrent business and technology projects within the Group Benefits portfolio. The incumbent will be accountable for guiding and supporting delivery for all assigned projects, including developing subject matter expertise in the business and relevant capabilities, supporting Business Analysts/Consultants in understanding and communicating business aspirations and strategies, and developing effective partnerships with multiple stakeholders
- The Business Projects & Solutions team is part of the Canadian Operations group and provides program and project management services, business analysis and support services to the Canadian Operations organization.
Must haves:
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Project Manager handling multiple work streams and stakeholders
- Insurance experience
- Business projects-the candidate should be focused business activities (eg Legal/compliance, Operational impacts, etc)

What are the main 3-5 responsibilities of this resource?
- Provide leadership in the delivery and execution of all phases of assigned projects from initiation to closure, managing timelines, budget and scope for multiple concurrent projects
- Build collaborative relationships with project sponsors and stakeholder teams
- Develop comprehensive project plans that align scope, time, cost, quality, resources and risks with on-going monitoring of project execution for any deviations from the plan, invoking corrective action and contingency plans where necessary
- Prioritize and manage own workload and the workload of project team members in order to deliver quality results against aggressive timelines
- Build and maintain detailed schedules and RAID logs, proactively managing risks/issues while effectively leveraging the change control process and escalating for support and awareness as appropriate
- Play a role in organizing, attending and facilitating project workshops with diverse group of cross-enterprise stakeholders
- Ensure that appropriate processes and techniques are being leveraged by project teams, identifying any necessary training or support required
- Ensure successful and seamless transition of projects to Operations and Production Support teams
