Sr. Cloud System Administrator with LAMP experience to join our client for 7 months contract

Position: Sr. System Administartor
Location: remote (GTA preffered)
Duration: 7 months


Requirements:

• Should have extensive experience with Amazon Web Services in a clustered and load balanced environment
• Must have extensive experience with the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Infrastructure as Code: AWS Cloudformation, Ansible
• Containerization: Docker, ECS

In this role, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Administrate our video management system
• Assist with supporting our LAMP/LEMP server infrastructure
• Audit current infrastructure and provide recommendations for improvements
• Hands on implementation of Infrastructure as Code
• Perform load testing
• Perform security audits
• Maintain highly-available production environments serving multi-million page-views/week
• Manage code deployment processes
• Manage support ticketing system
• User access management

Experience and certifications with following are encouraged:

• Cloud: AWS experience is required, GCP is a plus
• Search Index: AWS ElasticSearch preferred
• Cache Memory: (any caching service) Redis preferred
• Database: any cloud DB (AWS RDS postgres preferred)
• Log Monitoring: (any monitoring tool) CloudWatch preferred
• Content Management System: WordPress preferred
• Ticketing and documentation services such as Jira/Confluence
• Scripting: Bash, Python (Django framework nice to have)
• CI/CD: CodePipeline preferred
