Our large oil and gas client is seeking a Sr. Cloud Windows Systems Administrator to design and build VMware solutions in a large and complex enterprise Azure environment.
Must-Have Skills:
Role Overview: Utilizing your hands-on cloud and automation experience, you will support a cloud first strategy for a large oil and gas company with highly complex infrastructure utilizing Azure and VMware.
Duration: 12 months initial contract with chance of extension
Location: Calgary as this client follows a hybrid in office model (3 days/week)
Must-Have Skills:
- 7+ years of progressive Windows Systems Administration experience
- Strong understanding of high availability and disaster recovery design and implementation
- Strong understanding of Microsoft clustering technology
- 5+ years of experience designing and deploying VMware solutions
- Experience designing and implementing robust solutions for large enterprises in diverse environmentally challenging locations.
- Strong technical documentation practices
- 5+ years of hands on cloud experience in large/enterprise environments in either Azure or AWS.
- Automation: Demonstrated experience in automation using at least one of the following: Ansible, Terraform, Azure ARM & Azure Automation
- Certification in Administration or Architecture for AWS or Azure
- Understanding of Containers and Kubernetes
