Sr. Code Reviewer to ensure quality of Amazon Connect Codes for a large insurance client - 4781


Duration: 6 months (possibility for extension or conversion to perm)

Location: Remote (preferably Waterloo or Toronto)


Our client is migrating their client Contact Centres to the Amazon Connect platform. The Senior Amazon Connect developer will work with our Amazon Connect developer community to review their code and ensure adherence to the company’s configuration framework and standards. The primary function is to review code that is submitted for code promotion.


Code review includes Contact Flows, Lambda (Python), and DynamoDB services. We also make use of REST API framework to interact with backend systems and Amazon Connect API services.


Must Have Skills:

  • 2+ years of code review experience of Amazon Connect Codes, mentoring engineers and providing quality control with 5+ years background in development
  • Experience working with AWS services – Lambda, S3, DynamoDB.
  • DevOps tools and services such as GIT, CloudFormation, Terraform. Also, source code (BitBucket), linters, and other code review products.
  • General Developer skills in Python


Nice To Have Skills:

  • Insurance/Finance experience


Job Responsibilities:

  • Detailed review of code that is submitted to ensure compliance to the company's standards and framework and best practices coding.
  • Review codes in the DevOps queue for promotion to higher environments. Using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform DevOps tools.
  • Organizing and conducting source code reviews as well as providing review feedback on the areas that need rework.
  • Guiding and mentoring developers to help them understand the issue(s) preventing code from being promoted.
  • Providing the quality control mechanism for code written by system integrators and other departments ensuring the code meets development standards and our AWS Configuration Framework.
