Our client is Canada’s largest commercial and land service provider. They are looking for a Sr Director IT Delivery to lead product delivery, mange change/risk and lead distribution teams in an agile environment.

Onsite- 3x a week – Front and University

 Breakdown: Core product is a commercial and land registry product consumed by a large regulatory body in Canada (Java backend - AWS). 
  1. Tech Delivery - 50% - Out of the box thinking, new solutions on how to build out our clients product (Delivery approach for client A vs B – product customizations) - work with sales, product, dev, engineering teams (International model – Australia).  
  2. PPL leadership and management (25%) - Work with managers and develop leaders to ensure they are running the scrum teams.
  3. Relationship Management (25%)- Seat at the table with clients on the delivery and support side - report on progress of delivery to the client. Pre and post go – live. Key point of contact for product delivery stage and present product demos.
Team composition:
  • Reports a VP
  • Direct reports – 5 Managers + 1-2 more to be hired.
  • Work in conjunction with our clients international division but responsible for Canadian clients and business.
 
Responsibilities:
  • End to end oversight of multiple IT projects and deliverables; works with all parts of the company to ensure project success, including strategy, business and client management functions
  • Support Business development and market growth activities with a view to increase revenue streams
  • Assist in the development and growth of existing client relationships through the development of upsell and cross selling application design
  • Employ a creative and design thinking methodology for new product development with a focus on desirability, feasibility and viability of solution
  • Understand and continue to evolve the department Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies processes, and procedures to ensure the most efficient and effective delivery of Registry systems that meet business objectives
  • Create and maintain departmental budget that aligns with corporate strategy
  • Facilitate the alignment of corporate business and Information Technology strategies and plans
  • Oversee the recruitment and development of the teams as well as by training, coaching and working with department managers to help them build and manage high performing teams
  • Provide thought leadership in the use of technologies, in system architecture, design and business functionality
  • Working with other departments leads to align, develop, support and implement corporate initiatives and strategies.
  • Responsible for managing change in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
 
Must Haves:
  • 8 to 10 years of Managing IT product delivery SDLC in enterprise environments.
  • Experience managing globally distributed cross functional international teams in a product environment.
  • Change and risk management  
  • Cross functional leadership role: able to communicate a vision, motivate the team, and create a collaboration.
