Sr Full Stack Java (Spring) and JavaScript (Angular 2+) developer to support the modernization of 2 regionally deployed plant floor solutions for our Cambridge based manufacturing client
 
Contract: until March 31st 2023 (+ extension)
Location - Cambridge (4 days onsite with once a month travel to Woodstock)
Hours: 40 per week (some rotational out of office hours required)
 
Responsibilities:

• Will be involved in full SDLC management of 2 Regionally Deployed Plant Floor solutions
• Assist in specifying and detailing requirements for Epics and Stories
• Design implementation plans with an eye towards application migration to micro services model.
• Build Responsive UX to specified designs
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Write technical documentation
• Help create and adhere to project timelines
• Participate in virtual meetings, on MS Teams, WebEx, phone calls, etc.
• Participate in site visits to either or both our Cambridge and Woodstock plants.
• Maintain positive vendor and client relationships
• Ensure project adheres to set schedule and is meeting goals of the client

Must haves:

• 5+ years as a Java Developer with Spring Boot
• 2+ years with Angular 2+
• Oracle and Postgres experience
• Microservices experience

Nice to have:

• Android, Cordova, SOTI experience
• Experience migrating from Monolithic to Microservices architecture
• Azure Devops experience
